Why W+S for your next project?

Because I have a knack for explaining things, a passion for learning, and the experience to put it to work for you.

My first job after college was with a construction magazine—a lucky break that shaped my career.

Through writing about excavators, asphalt, cranes and cloverleaf interchanges, I gained an appreciation for how the world works and how to make this often-complex information make sense to the people using it.

As I moved on, this experience expanded into technology, finance, healthcare, supply chains, science. As I figured out the complexities in my own mind, I mastered the art of explaining them to others, building my expertise across several multiyear client relationships. Some highlights include:

  • The story of a global virus, awarded Best Technical Book of 2019

  • A 120-plus page field guide on river and riparian health

  • The whole gamut of cyber and compliance materials

  • Plain language training, online and in person, for government scientists and engineers
