Explaining

I’ve written about everything including AI, cloud, connectivity, corporate governance, cybersecurity, education, energy, the environment, financial services, healthcare, international development, manufacturing, mining, public health, renewables, utilities, world trade, and pretty much every type of technology as a service—most recently with a focus on the Washington, DC area.

Exploring

Experimentations with online platforms and interactive fiction led to an internationally recognized digital novel. A "pivot to video” led to similar recognition for a screenplay. Meanwhile, curiosity about the offline world led to work in Central America and West Africa and travel across five continents (where the photos on this website come from).

Early-career forays included a daily newspaper, ad agency life, and the 18-hour days of trade show management.

I’ve brought people together online and off, writing a longtime blog cited by CNN and the Washington Post, serving on the board of directors of a startup-focused organization, and helping to launch a network of angel investors.
